Loss, Transformation and Sacred Texts

NEWTON — The Bertolon Center for Grief & Healing, a program of Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston, is sponsoring "Loss & Transformation: Connecting Sacred Texts to Family Stories to Help Deal with Loss."

Rabbi Katy Allen of Ma’yan Tikvah will lead this foursession course combining text study, experiential activities and discussion related to loss and grief. The course will also include a tour of Mayyim Hayyim, and overview of how mikveh has helped healing from loss.

The course will take place at Mayyim Hayyim, 1838 Washington St., Newton, on Mondays, April 8, April 22, May 6 and May 20, from 7 to 9 p.m. The cost is $100.

Space is limited and pre-registration is requested by April 1.
